Geometry in the streets.
I have decided to talk about the traffic signs because during my prácticum I could observe that it is the way the most of the teacher use to introduce the geometry.
The usually use this because traffics signs are part of the daily life of the students. Every day we walk down the street without realizing the amount of signs that surround us, but we never stop to think why they have different forms.
First it is important to know that traffic signals are designed to communicate an alert or message as fast as possible.
They have different messages depending of their form.
If the shape is square, it wants to indicate some information. If the shape is round, it is a sign of obligation or prohibition. If the shape is triangular, it means that we must be alert. And if the shape is hexagonal it is mandatory to stop.
Traffic signals are designed in this way to be seen since the distance. This way accidents are prevented.
