Geometry in Astronomy.
The relationship that exists between geometry and astronomy is by the fact that in the entire universe govern the geometric shapes for example the orbits of the planets around a star, satellites around a planet and comets around a star...the orbits are not more than sections conics i.e. ellipses or hyperbolas (analytic geometry).
In the first instance the astronomy has taken certain elements the geometry in order to fix certain things such as the coordinates that are so necessary for astronomers to place objects in the sky.
Another relationship that exists is that with geometry can calculate distances that exist between the stars by the method of the parallax trigometric (trigonometry).

Another relation that exists is that the geometry of the sphere gave the rule to Einstein to say that the shortest distance between two points is not a straight line as it was thought, but the shortest distance between two points is the geodesic one, that's why it is said that the universe is curved. (Spherical geometry).
